Offered by Peterson Collective, this exceptional 1948 Winchester Model 21 is a fine example of one of the most respected and sought-after American side-by-side shotguns ever produced. Chambered in the desirable 16 gauge and fitted with 26-inch barrels choked Skeet and Skeet, this classic double balances beautifully at just 7.22 pounds and handles exactly as a dedicated skeet gun should.
The shotgun features a factory single selective trigger, automatic ejectors, beavertail forend, and pistol grip stock. The action remains tight with excellent lock-up and is solidly on face, while the bores are bright and shiny throughout. Stock dimensions include a 14¼-inch length of pull, 1½-inch drop at comb, and 2¼-inch drop at heel, complemented by a slight cast-off for the right-handed shooter. The gun retains its factory Winchester red rubber recoil pad and exhibits the quality craftsmanship that made the Model 21 Winchester's flagship double gun.
Accompanying the shotgun is a handsome leather-wrapped hard case complete with snap caps, oil can, cleaning rod, and related accessories, creating an outstanding package for both the collector and sporting enthusiast.
