This pistol has all-matching numbers on the frame, barrel, and 1938-dated receiver components, however the "S/42" coded toggle and bolt components are numbered to a different gun ("88") with the sole exception of the toggle pin. The metal retains about 95-97% of the original blue finish, with some mild silvering at the sides of the muzzle, as well as on the exposed edges and projections. The "GESICHERT" safety marking still retains its original white paint filling. The checkered grips are numbered to the gun on the interior of the left panel, which also has a triangular bruise on the leading edge just above the butt. Additionally, both grip panels exhibit some minor flattening of the checkering points with a few small handling marks here and there. A single non-matching numbered aluminum base magazine is included. This is a great looking Luger with a pre-WW2 dated receiver and no import markings, and is in very good plus condition overall.
