A standout Colt Custom Shop collectible, this civilian version of the U.S. Marine Corps Close Quarters Battle Pistol mirrors the sidearm issued to elite Marine units including MARSOC, MEUSOC, and Force Recon. Its original “COLT***USMC” roll mark—later changed at the request of the Corps—makes this an especially desirable early-production variant for Colt, military, and modern 1911 collectors.

- Based on the pistol issued to:
- MARSOC
- MEUSOC
- Force Recon units
- Features the original Colt model roll-stamping:
- “COLT***USMC”
- Important collector distinction:
- The “COLT***USMC” marking was later changed at the request of the Marine Corps
- Later production uses the standard “COLT***M45A1” marking
- This earlier USMC-marked version is especially desirable to collectors

Condition
Excellent overall, retaining 99% plus original Desert Tan finish with limited handling marks and crisp grip checkering. Mechanically excellent. Case is very fine with limited storage and handling marks.
