Offered for sale this week is a nice example of a prewar Colt 22-45 Service Model Ace Conversion unit. The units serial number dates it to approximately 1942-1943. Most units in this serial number range were bought by the US Marine Corps and US Army during WW2. The unit is clean and free from any damage or pitting. I belive this unit has been refinished at some point. The box is period correct and has been repaired in several spots but is nevertheless a legit Colt box. The magazine is correctly marked Service Model Ace and is full blued.
