Description:
This is a custom contemporary built New Hampshire flintlock .45 caliber flintlock rifle featuring a custom incised carved tiger stripe curly maple full stock, and German Silver forearm tip with half moon motif. It measures 60 inches overall with a 44 inch octagon swamped barrel with an excellent bore and has a full length metal tipped wood ramrod. It is sighted with sporting rear and blade front sights and weighs in at 6 ½ lbs. In excellent, like new condition the barrel, lock and furniture are all beautifully finished leaving an antique pewter-gray appearance. The lock is made by Kibler and functions very well with double set triggers and strong springs holding at half and full cock releasing with a very light, smooth trigger pull and throws a strong spark. An expertly built rifle by a local craftsman that has been doing this for decades. The gun was made to shoot tight groups but will also look fantastic on the wall and should become an instant family heirloom. Antique
