Built by Sabatti in 1955, this artisan-made OU showcases an uncommon mechanical layout centered around a lever-cocking system, making it unlike virtually anything encountered in conventional production doubles. The most distinctive feature is the left-side lockplate cocking lever, which cocks the locks independently of normal opening movement—an uncommon and inventive design reflecting the experimental spirit of Italian gunmaking during the 1950s. Mechanically, the gun combines multiple locking concepts into a robust three-point lockup system, incorporating Beretta-style dual engagement with an additional Browning-type locking bolt arrangement, resulting in a particularly interesting and secure action design. Lovely foral hand engraving. Configuration and dimensions make this a lively field gun while remaining substantial enough for sporting use. Specifications:
