Description:
"Serial no. 020404. Manufactured circa 1982 by Springfield Armory Inc., chambered in .308 Winchester / 7.62 NATO, fitted with a 22"" round barrel marked “SAK-7791362-7-72-8068808." The bore is bright with strong, well-defined rifling noted throughout. The rifle is fitted with a desirable U.S.G.I. bolt marked “7790186/TRW ZH" and is equipped with a National Match-marked rear sight. The rifle remains in overall very good condition, showing only light handling impressions on the stock. Collectors often refer to these early-production M1A rifles as “Silver Era" guns due to their extensive use of genuine U.S.G.I. components before surplus military parts became scarce. The July 1972 SAK barrel and TRW bolt are particularly desirable features, as both manufacturers produced some of the highest-quality M14 components during military production. The action is smooth, mechanically sound, and functions correctly.
