This is the Hamilton No. 27 rifle, take down single shot boys rifle that comes in an original cardboard box and was built in Plymouth, MI by the C.J. Hamilton & Son company from 1907-1930. This example remains in near excellent condition with the metal surfaces showing 85-90% of the original blue finish with some scattered use and storage marks and fine pitting around the muzzle. The stock and forearm are both solid with some scattered finish level contusions and scratches with slight gouges where the trigger guard attaches to the stock. The action functions properly with a very tight lock up. It comes in a No. 027 cardboard box (this was for the later slightly improved version) with the instruction hang tag, cleaning rod and letter from the collection of Richard Littlefield. The box shows a few small tears and stains. A great little No. 027 not often found in high condition or with the original box. FFL or C&R Price: $650.00 |
