Description: Offered for sale is an Italian-made Armi San Marco reproduction of the Colt Model 1873 Single Action Army revolver, imported by EMF and chambered in .45 Colt. This Hartford-style Model 1873 revolver features an approximately 4¾-inch blued barrel, six-shot fluted cylinder, color case-hardened-style frame, fixed sights and smooth wood grips. The barrel is clearly marked “45 COLT,” and the underside of the barrel is marked “ASM ITALY – EMF S.A. CAL.” The frame carries the traditional patent-date markings “PAT. SEPT. 19, 1871” and “PAT. JULY 2, 1872.” These markings reproduce those found on original Colt-pattern revolvers and are not the manufacture dates of this firearm. The revolver is in very good overall cosmetic condition. The barrel and cylinder retain a strong, glossy blued finish with scattered light handling marks and a faint cylinder turn line. The frame displays attractive case-colored tones. The smooth wood grips show scratches, small dents and handling wear, most noticeably on the right grip panel. The firearm’s markings remain clear and legible. This firearm has not been test-fired by us. The bore and mechanical condition have not been independently verified.
