Description:
Built with blued barrels featuring a single bead sight on the matted flat solid rib, Krupp marks on the chamber and scroll engraving at the breech. 2 3/4 inch chambers with automatic ejectors. The barrels are fitted to the casehardened action which displays attractive scroll engraving surrounding game scenes depicting a hunter creeping up on a covey of quail on the left and a hunter and his dog flushing pheasant cocks on the right. The gun features bushed firing pins, double Kersten crossbolts, gold centerline cocking indicators, double triggers, and a tang mounted manual safety with gold inlaid indicator. The gun is fitted with a beautifully figured and large panel checkered three-piece forend with engraved iron and a pistol grip stock with multi-point checkered wrist, horn grip cap, rear sling swivel, and serrated horn buttplate. 1 11/16 inch DAC; 3 inch DAH and 14 1/8 inch length of pull. Gun weighs 7 lbs. 2 oz. Overall this shotgun is in very fine condition retaining most original blue on the barrels. Traces of case color on the frame with the balance a silver patina. Nicely figured wood with sharp checkering and glossy finish. Proof marks date this shotgun to 1936. Mechanically excellent.
