Description:
Anton Bemair of Belgium manufactured this 12-gauge side-by-side hammer shotgun featuring 30-inch laminated steel barrels with cylinder bore chokes. The barrels are equipped with a front bead sight and display a grey patina finish. The shotgun uses an exposed hammer, break-action configuration typical of early double guns. The receiver and barrel set retain matching period construction, and the overall length measures approximately 46¼ inches. Serial number 36321 is present on the firearm.
The stock is a capped smooth wood pistol grip style paired with a matching forearm. A factory metal butt plate is fitted to the rear. The length of pull measures 14 inches. The bores are described as good, retaining visible shine. There are a couple of small dents noted in the right barrel. The mechanical components include freely moving firing pins and a firm lockup between barrels and receiver. This shotgun is used and shows age-consistent surface patina across the metalwork.
Included with the firearm are the original wood furniture components and metal butt plate as described. No additional accessories or packaging are specified. The piece reflects typical Belgian craftsmanship of the period, with laminated steel construction and traditional double-hammer operation consistent with its design era.
