Description:
The Savage Model 99E is a lever-action rifle chambered in .308 Winchester. This rifle features a 20-inch barrel and employs the distinctive rotary magazine system associated with the Model 99 line. The receiver and barrel are finished in blued steel, paired with a wood stock and forearm. Manufactured in 1967, this configuration falls within the collectible Curio & Relic classification for firearms of that era. The rifle includes adjustable sights for elevation and windage, consistent with the standard setup of the 99E variant.
The rifle is used and retains its classic mechanical layout of lever-operated action and internal magazine. The bore condition is described as excellent, indicating clean rifling and minimal wear consistent with proper maintenance. The stock and forearm are made from wood with checkering on the grip surfaces, contributing to secure handling. The stock is cracked in 2 places by the tang and on the left side - everything is nic and tight.
The buttstock incorporates the factory black grooved butt plate design typical of late-1960s production rifles from Savage Arms.
