Original Heckler & Koch HK Model 4 .22 LR Conversion Kit, manufactured in Oberndorf, Germany, for use with the legendary HK4 pistol platform. This complete conversion kit allows an HK4 owner to convert their pistol to fire .22 Long Rifle, one of the four calibers offered for the HK4 system.
The HK4 was one of Heckler & Koch's earliest commercial pistols and became well known for its unique interchangeable caliber design. Introduced in the late 1960s, the HK4 could be configured for .22 LR, .25 ACP, .32 ACP, and .380 ACP, making it one of the most versatile pocket pistols of its era. The HK4 is also notable as the first pistol ever produced by Heckler & Koch, giving these factory conversion kits significant collector interest today.
This kit includes the factory .22 LR barrel assembly, recoil spring, .22 LR magazine, factory adjustment tool/screwdriver, and the scarce .22 LR extractor component with pins still sealed in the original bag. The original HK-labeled box is also included.
Unlike many surviving HK4 conversion kits, this example retains the original box and appears complete with the critical extractor parts required for proper caliber conversion.
