Description:
The Savage Model 99M is a lever-action rifle chambered in .308 Winchester and manufactured by Savage Arms in 1962. It features a 24-inch barrel and a solid lever-operated action. The rifle is built on the classic 99 receiver design, known for its rotary magazine system and streamlined profile. The metal components carry the original factory finish, and the rifle is configured with a wood stock that includes a pistol-grip shape and checkered panels for handling.
This Model 99M is used and has an excellent bore condition, indicating clean rifling and sharp lands. The rifle’s action remains strong, consistent with its mechanical design. It does not include adjustable sights, following the fixed-sight configuration typical of this variant. The stock incorporates a capped pistol grip and factory checkering, along with a checkered metal buttplate. Brass cartridge counter windows are fitted on the receiver side, providing visual indication of magazine capacity. Case colored lever.
