We wish to help you improve your collection and make both parties happy. Description:  This Remington 700 Varmint Special is a first model, being manufactured in March 1967. Chambered in 6mm Remington, it features a 24" heavy barrel. It has a Monte Carlo style BDL stock with Fleur-de-lis patterned checkering including thumbprint checkering behind the tang. The stock has an ebony forend tip. Other features of this rifle are sling mounts and factory aluminum buttplate. The rifle has been factory drilled and tapped for scope bases on the receiver as well as on the barrel. This rifle is in excellent condition. The rifle's bluing is retained and presents beautifullly. The stock is in very nice condition with some handling marks. The stock's finish still shines beautifully and shows no signs of being worn down.  The bore of the rifle is clean and the rifling is crisp and strong. This historic, first model rifle will be an excellent addition to your collection. Please see pictures for details. All used firearms should be inspected by a qualified gunsmith prior to firing. Buyer will be responsible for any additional charges above the $50 shipping fee that may occur with hard case shipping.
