A Krieghoff Classic “Big Five" chambered with a .470 Nitro Express barrel set and an additional 9.3×74R barrel set is one of the most versatile modern double-rifle combinations available. It combines a true dangerous-game rifle with a highly practical medium-bore hunting rifle in the same action.
The Classic Big Five is a side-by-side double rifle built specifically for African dangerous game. It uses Krieghoff‚s distinctive manual cocking system rather than a conventional safety, allowing the rifle to be carried loaded but uncocked until the moment of the shot. The design was developed with input from professional hunters and safari guides.
