The Smith & Wesson .455 Hand Ejector is a large-N-frame, double-action revolver originally produced during World War I to fulfill British military contracts. Due to manufacturing shortages of the Webley Mk VI, the British Ministry of Munitions contracted Smith & Wesson to produce revolvers chambered in the British service .455 Webley cartridge Key Specifications Caliber: .455 Webley Mk II (often known as .455 Eley or .455 Colt). Capacity: 6-shot fluted cylinder. Barrel Lengths: Typically 6.5 inches, though some variations exist. Sights: Fixed half-moon front sight and channel rear sight. Markings: Many surviving examples feature British "Broad Arrow" acceptance proofs, "crossed flags" stamps, and a lanyard ring on the butt .455 Eley
