Description: The Model 25 got its start with the Model 17 in WWI when the military had Smith and Wessen rechamber their pistol into .45 ACP, and renamed it the Model 1917. It was issued as a secondary pistol to troops for many years. After WWII, S&W renamed it as the Model of 1955, and released it to the civilian market as a target pistol for slow fire pistol competition, later renaming it the Model 25. The Model 25 was chambered in both .45 ACP and in .45 "Long" Colt, with pistols in each load being produced in alternating years. The rimless .45 Auto versions required the use of moon clips to facilitate removing empty cases, giving the ejector "hand" something to push on. The pistols have a strong reputation for reliability, durability, and accuracy. .45 Auto Price: $1,699.99 Chambers: 6 rounds Metal Condition: Very good. There is a light turn line.
