Built around an authentic Springfield Armory receiver serial numbered 3118167, this U.S. Rifle, Caliber .30, M1 traces its origins to the height of World War II production in May–June 1944. While no longer in original wartime configuration, it remains a genuine WWII Springfield receiver that has been professionally rebuilt into a highly desirable shooter-grade Garand. For collectors who want historic pedigree combined with modern shootability, this rifle delivers exactly that balance.
A major highlight is the recently installed Faxon .30-06 barrel dated 08/25. The accompanying inspection tag records an exceptional muzzle reading of 1+ and throat erosion of 0+, indicating a near-new bore with substantial service life ahead. Combined with the proven long-stroke gas piston system and robust M1 action, this Garand is positioned as an outstanding range rifle capable of delivering excellent performance.
The rifle features a Springfield Armory bolt marked D28287-19SA B-14, a CMP-marked operating rod, post-war T105E1 rear sight assembly, and fresh parkerized finish throughout.
