Smith & Wesson Victory Model revolver, serial number V476561, manufactured during the World War II era. This revolver bears several interesting markings and features that set it apart from standard Victory Models and may indicate government or agency use after its original military service. V-prefix serial number Marked "U.S. NAVY" on the top strap. Additional property marking: "N.Y.M. 1752" Original lanyard ring retained on butt matching cylinder serial number (476561) Matching yoke/frame assembly number (5543) Six-shot swing-out cylinder. The revolver's U.S. Navy and N.Y.M. markings, combined with its matching components and retained military lanyard ring, make it a particularly intriguing example. While the exact history of the snub-nose conversion has not been documented, the quality of the workmanship suggests it may have been performed by a government armory or agency rather than as a later amateur alteration.
