Offered for sale is a Star Model SA chambered in 9mm, a classic all-steel Spanish service pistol inspired by the M1911 design. Manufactured by Star Bonifacio Echeverria S.A. of Eibar, Spain, these pistols are well regarded for their solid construction, excellent ergonomics, and smooth single-action trigger.
This example remains in good overall condition and displays honest wear consistent with years of use. The finish shows handling marks and thinning in several areas, particularly on the slide and magazine, while the checkered grip panels remain in very good shape. The pistol is fitted with a knurled extended barrel and compensator-style muzzle device, giving it a distinctive appearance.
Imported by Interarms of Alexandria, Virginia, this pistol represents an interesting piece of Spanish firearms history.
