Description:

Standard configuration Star MB, 9mmP, 1 of 1757 pistols made between 1956-1975, this example completed in 1960 (215 pistols made that year). This single action locked breech pistol has a fixed front sight and drift adjustable rear sight. Usual address on left side of slide reflecting manufacturer, location in Spain, and caliber. Triad of Eibar proofs on left side of frame under grip with the automatic pistol proof repeated on left slide, behind serrations, and exposed chamber hood. Stock slot marked with assembly number "416 13". Major components salt blued; case hardened hammer; strawed extractor, trigger with sides polished bright. Checkered brown plastic grips. Unmarked magazine with two indicator slots on right side and detachable floorplate, indicator slot at rear and serrations at toe. Extended 16-shot magazine with indentation at rear spine to better seat the cartridges. Complete with correct shoulder stock. Lug numbered "4", with same digit repeated on mating surface of lid and body, secured with slotted screw. Pistol fits nicely inside stock, lid closing securely. HIGH CAPACITY MAGAZINE RESTRICTION!!!

Condition:

The pistol is near EXC, retaining the majority of its salt blue finish with scattered light handling marks, minor edge wear, and small areas of finish loss around high-contact surfaces, the 1/2 moon front sight having been re-contoured to semi-patridge configuration. Trigger with circular marks from a previous trigger shoe. Comparable condition brown plastic grips. VG blued magazine, body with insertional wear; EXC nickeled magazine. Shoulder stock near EXC with a scattering of superficial scratches, light bruises, and age marks consistent with use and storage. Factory pamphlet with fading, edge wear, and handling creases. A highly desirable Star MB rig, now NFA exempt, this example with the scarce 16-shot magazine!
