The Sig Sauer Romeo5XDR is a compact red dot sight designed for use on rifles, carbines, or shotguns equipped with a compatible mounting interface. It features a 1x magnification with an illuminated reticle that provides quick target acquisition and clear aiming in various lighting conditions. The housing is constructed from durable materials with a sealed design intended to resist dust and moisture. The sight operates on a standard battery and includes user-selectable brightness settings to accommodate different environments.
The optic incorporates Sig Sauer’s MOTAC (Motion Activated Illumination) system, which powers up the reticle when movement is detected and powers down when the sight is stationary to extend battery life. The Romeo5XDR model includes a dual reticle option, allowing the user to switch between a standard 2 MOA red dot and a 65 MOA circle dot configuration. Control buttons are positioned for easy access, and the sight provides windage and elevation adjustments for zeroing. The robust construction is designed to maintain zero under recoil and field use.
Included with the sight are mounting options compatible with both low and co-witness setups, providing flexibility for different firearm platforms. The package typically includes a battery and protective lens covers. The Romeo5XDR is powered by a readily available AAA battery, accessible through a side-loading compartment for quick replacement without removing the optic from the mount.
