The Fusion Freedom Riptide-C is a 4.25-inch \"Commander\" style 1911 built around the classic Colt Series 70 design layout. This design choice ensures maximum compatibility with standard aftermarket Colt replacement components. Unlike many modern lightweight polymer carry options, the Riptide-C features an all-steel construction with zero plastic parts. The frame, slide, and barrel are precision CNC-machined from solid bar-stock and hand-fitted by skilled gunsmiths to deliver custom-shop accuracy straight from the box.
To optimize the platform for discrete everyday carry, Fusion incorporates custom \"carry cuts\" into the front of the frame to keep it low-profile and snag-free. Visually striking and highly functional, it features exclusive \"Riptide\" slide serrations, front press-check cuts, and premium Red Cocobolo exotic hardwood grips that provide a rich texture and secure hold.
