Description:
NOBODY HAS ONE OF THESE !!! ,  A  1858 Remington complete and permanent conversion by Jim Brown. A superior high quality one of a kind conversion. This is a wonderful example of what Jim Brown has done !!! . A reproduction 1858 Remington percussion Revolver Converted to .45 long Colt cartridge by reducing the cylinder capacity from 6 rounds to five. It will now chamber, .45 Colt or .45 Scofield cartridge. It was made with no loading gate, but does include an ejector rod, a hammer formed to a firing pin. The .45 long Colt ammo is  available all most everywhere. Jim Brown never produced these for sale, he made his income by restoring antique and collectible swords and will not make one of these for you today as he has left his earthly home for a better place. Jim did finish this revolver with the blue and polish of a master. No markings of any kind are on the piece except the serial number. Mechanically perfect. The cylinder has absolutely NO!!! side to side, front to back movement when in full cock, or when the hammer is dead down.  The blue and polish has been hand applied and looks as perfect as the finest of the best of firearms. The ejector rod functions smoother than any I have handled. I have made it my business for the past 40 years to find shop made conversions. I have owned those made by, Howell, Grenn, Millington, Barrett, Rapine, Hindle, Gallagher, Carroll, Willey and Jim Brown. This 1858 Remington conversion by Jim Brown is the best of all !! I would say you would not find a better one anywhere. This gun is mechanically perfect and function as it should and the case is top quality. Jim and wife Reana as Anny Okley & Buffalo Bill. Framed Photo Included.
