The Browning BPS Pigeon Grade is one of the most attractive pump-action shotguns ever offered by Browning. Built by Miroku in Japan and dressed with beautifully figured walnut furniture, gold-accented receiver markings, and the distinctive Pigeon Grade designation, this shotgun was designed as an upscale upland and field gun while retaining the legendary durability of the BPS platform.
Its 26-inch vent rib barrel creates the balanced handling characteristics upland hunters appreciate. Quick enough for flushing birds while maintaining a smooth swing on crossing targets, the barrel length offers an ideal compromise between portability and follow-through. The ventilated recoil pad and 14-inch length of pull contribute to comfortable shooting during extended days afield.
Browning's BPS design remains one of the strongest pump-action systems ever manufactured. Featuring a steel receiver, dual action bars, top tang safety, and the renowned bottom-loading/bottom-ejecting action, the BPS offers true ambidextrous operation while helping keep debris and weather out of the action. Japanese Miroku production is especially respected among Browning collectors for its fit, finish, and long-term durability.
Chambered for both 2¾-inch and 3-inch 12 gauge loads, this shotgun is equally comfortable with standard field ammunition or heavier magnum hunting loads. The Invector choke system allows the shooter to tailor patterns to the application, from close-range flushing birds to longer crossing shots.
