Description: TAKE THE TIME TO READ THE FULL DESCRIPTION & VIEW ALL OF THE PHOTOS I am new to GunsInternational, but not to the gun trade or to selling firearms online. Legendary Guns of Texas was founded in 2013, and since then we’ve sold hundreds of firearms on the other well?known gun site, without ever receiving a single negative comment. We joined GunsInternational to showcase some of our higher?end and specialty pieces, and we invite you to browse our listings and contact us with any questions. Manufacturer: Colt Model: 1860 Army Caliber: .44 Percussion Manufactured: 1989 Barrel Length: 8" Cylinder: FLUTED, Six?Shot Serial Number: 210826 Finish: Colt Blue & Color Case Hardened Grips: One?Piece Walnut Condition: Unfired` This pistol came from the estate of an elderly gentleman along with several other firearms. He obviously took very good care of his collection. The overall finish excellent with normal handling marks. View the photos because as they say, “a picture is worth a thousand words.” Description Offered here is an authentic Colt Blackpowder reproduction of the legendary Model 1860 Army, one of the most iconic percussion revolvers of the American frontier. This example features the scarce FLUTED cylinder, a historically accurate early?production style that gives the revolver a lighter, more elegant profile and is far less common than the rebated cylinder variant. The revolver retains the classic lines and balance that made the 1860 Army the preferred sidearm of Union cavalry and countless pioneers. Colt’s 1980s Blackpowder Series revolvers were produced using authentic patterns and traditional finishing methods, including deep Colt blue on the barrel and cylinder and bone?charcoal color case hardening on the frame, hammer, and loading lever. The 8-inch round barrel bears the correct “Address Col. Saml Colt Hartford CT” marking, and the one?piece walnut grips are properly fitted in the traditional Colt style. Lock?up, indexing, and mechanical function are consistent with Colt’s high standards for this series. These early style 1980s fluted?cylinder models have become increasingly desirable among collectors due to their limited production, authentic construction, and strong connection to Colt’s percussion heritage. Features
Condition This revolver remains in excellent collector condition, presenting exactly as a well?kept, unfired Colt Blackpowder Series example should. The chambers and bore are factory?clean with no evidence of powder, residue, or ignition, confirming the revolver has never been fired since leaving Colt. Metal surfaces show only light handling marks consistent with careful ownership, with the deep Colt blue retaining its rich, even tone and the color?case?hardened frame displaying vivid hues throughout. Importantly, the cylinder exhibits no turn line, a rarity even among unfired percussion Colts and a strong indicator of minimal mechanical cycling. The walnut grips remain crisp and properly fitted. Overall, this is a superior, investment?grade example of the fluted?cylinder 1860 Army—well above the condition typically encountered on the market and highly desirable for the serious Colt percussion collector. From Legendary Guns of Texas Veteran?owned, collector?focused, and committed to preserving the craftsmanship and history of America’s finest firearms.
