Every major component is individually fit rather than assembled on a production line, resulting in the exceptional slide-to-frame fit, crisp lockup, and refined feel expected from one of America's premier custom pistol makers.
The 5-inch Government configuration remains the gold standard for reliability and balance, and this example showcases exactly why. The hand-fit match-grade stainless barrel locks up with remarkable consistency, while the lightweight tri-cavity trigger delivers the crisp break and short reset that serious 1911 shooters demand. Combined with the forged steel frame, forged slide, and Black Nitride finish, this pistol is equally at home on the range, in competition, or serving as a premium defensive sidearm.
This particular GRP is outfitted with desirable upgrades that enhance both performance and practicality. Crimson Trace Lasergrips provide rapid target acquisition in low-light conditions while preserving the classic ergonomics of the 1911 platform. The pistol also features an ambidextrous thumb safety, extended beavertail grip safety, aggressively checkered front strap and mainspring housing, flared magazine well, Trijicon tritium front sight, Novak rear sight and an integral accessory rail, creating a highly refined fighting pistol without sacrificing the clean appearance that defines Nighthawk Custom.
Condition is outstanding, with approximately 97–98% original finish remaining. The Black Nitride finish presents exceptionally well with only light handling evidence, while the barrel hood exhibits the normal burnishing expected from careful function testing and light use. The original Nighthawk barrel, frame, slide, factory markings, and included accessories all contribute to a package that has clearly been well cared for and remains highly desirable to discerning enthusiasts.
