Description: This is a high quality, modern-made German-imported sword that measures 35 5/8" overall, with a 33" curved, single-edged blade having single fullers, short 9" double fullers near the tip, and half-length etched panels on the forte. The steel is in excellent condition, with the bright, original factory polish on either side, and an acid-etched USMC scrollwork motif on both sides (the name plate is blank). The WKC King and Knight’s Head logo is present on the ricasso reverse. The hilt has bright brass fittings, straight quillons with acorn finials, long langets, and off-white resin grip panels. The original scabbard has the original bright metal finish, with bright brass fittings, and is also in excellent condition. An original padded black vinyl carrier with brass fittings is included. This is an excellent USMC "Mameluke" and would make a nice addition to a collection of American military swords.; Price: $495.00 |
