Offering a rare wartime 1944 manufacturing Carl Walther WWII German P38 "ac44" 9mm Luger semi automatic pistol with matching numbers except for the clip.
Markings on the frame and slide include period-correct German proof and acceptance stamps consistent with wartime manufacture.
German WWII History - In Vietnam, it was not an official service sidearm. Instead, it was captured by US troops as a battlefield trophy from North Vietnamese Army (NVA) or Viet Cong (VC) forces, who utilized leftover WWII German weapons supplied by the Eastern Bloc. The firing mechanism extracts and ejects the first spent round, cocks the hammer, and chambers a fresh round for single-action operation with each subsequent shot.
