Description:
This Remington Rifle was produced in 1927 by the barrel date. This rifle's serial number is 11245. The barrel is the standard 22 inch barrel chambered for the 30 Government 1906 cartridge [30-06]. The bore is in fine condition with sharp lands. The sights are original to this rifle. The action works smoothly with no issues. The stock is in very fine condition with no issues. The checkering is sharp with no flattened points. The butt plate is the original steel curved butt plate. There is no added screw holes or other alterations done to this rifle. The original bluing would rate a 97% or better condition. This Rifle was produced from 1921 To 1940. These Model 30's were produced from Remington's left over Military Model 1917 rifles from World War One. These rifles were fitted with the superior speed lock for the bolt action. The speed lock is a big improvement over the earlier push to lock military action. The sight ears were ground off and the receiver was streamlined to a more pleasing civilian look. The magazine will hold 6 rounds of shells. This was a great way for Remington to use up all of the left over 1917 Rifle Military parts from the Great War. This rifle is a fine looking rifle and shoots great! This Model 30 would be a great addition to any Military Collection that displays the 1917 Military Rifles and the aftermath of the war production. This rifle will also look great in any fine Collection as well!
