EXTREMELY RARE FANCY WALNUT ITHACA MODEL 37 FEATHERLIGHT 12 GA. SKEET GUN, 26” IMP. CYL. CHOKE, #371129XXX, MADE 1970. This is the first of these I’ve seen. I have encountered the identical “Trap” shotgun with long barrel and full choke but not this shorter and open choke version. The walnut with cut checkering in the stock is outstanding as is the correct wide forend with cut checkering. Exc. stock and forend showing the lightest of handling and one tiny chip at the left bottom receiver juncture that you have to look carefully to find. The receiver has the usual rolled engraved game scenes and retains most of the blue. The barrel also retains fine blue and has a vent rib with small bead in the middle and a high viz optic front sight. Tight action, exc. inside. Has the correct and original Ithaca marked recoil pad and Ithaca marked pistol grip cap. One of the prettiest pump guns I’ve seen. This one is now 56 years old.
