Description:
The "Kit Gun" was a designation for small pistols intended to be included in traveling baggage, fishing tackle, or hunting gear. The current jargon would call them EDC, "every day carry" pistols, intended to carry whenever traveling. These pistols were generally .22 LR but may also have been chambered in .32, .38, or any number of moderate power calibers suitable for pest control, light hunting, or whatever. The key was light, and low recoil, and easy to carry and shoot. The Model 63 was one of the pistols that defined the genre. This little pistol is all stainless steel for ease of maintenance, 4-inch bbl, and 25 oz, for easy carry. It has some firing residue on the face of the cylinder, but there is no evidence of extensive use. YOM: 1978. .22 Long Rifle
