NEAR NEW CONDITION MODEL 71 .348 WCF DELUXE RIFLE, #39XXX, MADE 1952. With only about 47,000 made between 1936-1958, these are becoming hard to find. This deluxe example has the correct super-grade sling swivel studs, checkered forend and pistol grip with Winchester embossed pistol grip cap. It retains about all the deep factory blue including on the forend cap, lever, and upper tang etc. There is a faint partial outline where a receiver sight had been properly mounted in the two factory holes on the left side of the receiver- made to take the common Lyman, Redfield or Williams sight. The factory drilled and tapped holes have the correct filler screws. Checkered steel shotgun butt, buckhorn rear sight with elevator bar intact and hooded front sight. Stock and forend show only the lightest of handling marks. Tight action and exc. bright bore. Great 74-year-old walnut and steel 1950s quality!
