Stunning pair of ENGRAVED Remington 1100 LW shotguns-
1. Remington 1100 LW 28 Gauge Semi Automatic Shotgun. Serial Number L710583J. 25" Ventilated Rib fixed Skeet choke Barrel. 2 3'4" chamber. 14" LOP over Remington butt plate.
2. Remington 1100 LW .410 Gauge Semi Automatic Shotgun. Serial Number L752558H. 25" Ventilated Rib fixed Skeet choke Barrel. 2 1/2" chamber. 14" LOP over Remington butt plate.
Both 1100's have matching full engraving on the receiver and the trigger guard with the engraving on top of the receivers continuing a few inches up the top of the barrels. The engraving is not signed by the engraver. The Walnut on both is nicely figured with fluer d' lis pattern decoration and what looks to be pressed checkering. It appears both 1100's were purchased off the shelf of a retailer at approximetly the same time and shortly after sent to be engraved; both with the same pattern. Both 1100's are in 98% plus plus condition.
This outstanding pair of engraved 1100's came to us from the second owner. At the time of purchase several years ago the origianl owner told them he had purchased this pair of 1100's and sent them to the Remington Custom Shop to have the engraving done. Unfortunately, there were no wriiten records passed along at the time of the transaction and the original owner is long since deceased.. I can say the engraving on the pair of 1100's does contain some similarities to known Remington Custom Shop engraved 1100's in the pattern of of the scrollwork and especially the engraving on the top of the receiver extending up the barrel a few inches.
Custom Shop or not, the the engraving on these 1100's is of equal quality and they are absolutely beautiful and in High Condition. Please see the photos. Shipped in aluminum hard case.
