The barrel is 27 ½” with a very good bore. There is a ramped front sight with a flip-up ivory moon bead. The rear express sight has leaves marked 100, 200 and 300 yards. The barrel is engraved: WILLIAM EVANS. 63 PALL MALL. ST. JAMES’S. LONDON. There is a side-mounted base for a scope mount of Griffin & Howe type. (Maker unknown.) There is a single trigger. The action is extremely smooth, as with all vintage Mannlicher-actioned rifles. The fore-end has an ebony tip.
