Description: This offering is a French Modèle 1935A semi automatic pistol, manufactured by Société Alsacienne de Constructions Mécaniques (SACM) in the late 1930s. Chambered in 7.65 mm Longue, the 1935A was designed by Charles Petter, whose innovative locking system later formed the basis of the legendary SIG P210. Adopted by the French Army in 1937, the 1935A served as the nation’s standard sidearm at the outbreak of WWII. Provenance & Historical Significance This specimen predates German occupation production runs, making it a true pre war issue. Its lineage connects directly to Petter’s design, later licensed by SIG, cementing its place in European firearms history. Scarce in this condition, most surviving examples show heavy wartime wear. This pistol remains a museum worthy piece of French ordnance, eligible for Curio & Relic (C&R) classification. Key Features
