One of the finer examples of this scarce configuration that you will encounter. This is a beautiful and true Deluxe1886 LW take-down rifle in 33 W.C.F. caliber.
SN 158438 made in 1920.
Significant original blue remains over most with some typical light wear and flaking in the usual places.
The beautifully figured wood remains in exceptional condition, proud everywhere with untouched original finish and super crisp and clear checkering. There is only one mentionable handling mark anywhere, that being a pair of small scrapes above the left forearm checkering panel.
24" tapered barrel with a very good- excellent bore; showing bright with pronounced rifling and just a bit of roughness in the grooves, although no visible pitting. All correct mechanical functions are smooth and crisp as well.
The takedown feature is free and unseized with smooth operation.
The sight package consists of a Lyman 21 receiver sight, a #6 series Winchester barrel sight with 2 folding leaves, and a Marble 1R white bead front.
A beautiful, solid, and very hard to find rifle in all regards.
