The Norinco TT Olympia is one of the more interesting .22 LR target pistols imported during the early 1990s. Produced in China and patterned after the legendary Walther Olympia competition pistol, it was built as a dedicated precision rimfire with excellent balance and a remarkably refined trigger for its price point. The factory front counterweight gives the pistol the steady muzzle feel expected from a true target handgun.
The ergonomic target grip fills the hand well and promotes a consistent hold during slow-fire competition. The long sight radius, substantial forward weight, and clean single-action trigger combine to produce excellent practical accuracy. These pistols have developed a loyal following among collectors looking for uncommon imported target pistols from the post-Cold War era.
Chambered in .22 LR, the TT Olympia is inexpensive to shoot while delivering the accuracy expected from a dedicated target pistol. Its simple blowback operating system is reliable with quality standard-velocity ammunition, and the all-steel construction contributes to exceptional durability and mild recoil. The removable front weight also allows shooters to tune the pistol's balance to their preference.
Although often associated with Norinco, these pistols were imported into the United States by Navy Arms beginning in 1992 and were only available for a relatively short period. They are no longer imported, making clean original examples increasingly desirable among collectors of unique rimfire target pistols.
