This is a rare, Argentinian made, M1909 Artillery Short Sword, manufactured by Industria Argentina JC Suarez y Cia. This Model 1909 Bolo machete with a single-edged, unsharpened, 14 5/8" blade widening toward the point with the ricasso marked "E-A" with Argentine crest on one side and "INDUSTRIA ARGENTINA J.C. SUAREZ Y CIA" in a circle on the other. Hilt features recurved cross guard stamped with serial number "G01828". This example is in very good+ condition with no nick and nice tip, very good wood grips and a guard and pommel with light surface oxidation. Overall length 19 3/4".;
