Description:
This is a very clean M1905E1 also known as the M1 bayonet after it was approved in 1943. The sharpened blade has an excellent edge with a nice tip and false edge. Blade is marked "U. C. US 1942, Flaming Bomb" and on the reverse "Crossed Cannons" also "AFH" twice on the spine. This bayonet features a blade that is approx 10" length, as this was cut down from an original length by the American Fork & Hoe Co..The grips are in excellent condition with minimal wear. The guard, marked "841" and pommel are in very good condition. This includes the original M7 Scabbard in very good+ condition with "R. A 1" on the back in red paint. Over all a nice example.;
