Wow. Here is a very very rare Confederate civil war saber bayonet serial numbered and CSA marked. Mfg. By Athen, Georgia "Cook And Brothers " Never seen another marked like this and would consider it very uncommon and is for the Confederate bayonet collector. This bayonet was carried in a cut down and molded to the bayonet USN Civil war cutlass scabbard. Maybe this bayonet was used as a side arm or sword . Some sharpening near tip of blade. Has a nice untouched look. Was discovered when a estate was cleaned out in Florida and all was sent to a thrift store and a lucky buyer bought it and sold it to me.
