Compact enough for hunting blinds, vehicle deployment, and defensive applications while retaining the hard-hitting authority of the .308 Winchester cartridge, the Tanker bridges the gap between a traditional battle rifle and a modern fighting rifle. This example has been elevated well beyond factory specifications with premium upgrades chosen by someone who clearly knew the platform.
At its core is Springfield Armory's proven gas-operated short-stroke piston system—one of the most reliable battle rifle operating systems ever fielded. The addition of a Schuster adjustable gas plug allows the rifle to be tuned for different ammunition or suppressor use while reducing unnecessary operating stress. A SureFire WarComp minimizes recoil and muzzle rise while serving as a suppressor mounting platform for compatible SureFire SOCOM suppressors. Combined with the crisp National Match two-stage trigger and National Match sights, this rifle offers significantly enhanced precision and shootability without sacrificing battlefield reliability.
The beautiful walnut stock maintains the classic M14 profile while providing outstanding balance despite the shortened barrel. Controls remain intuitive and robust, featuring the proven M14 safety and magazine release layout trusted for decades. A premium Sadlak Industries steel receiver mount has been professionally installed and includes 30mm rings, providing one of the strongest and most respected optics mounting solutions available for the M1A platform while maintaining access to the excellent National Match iron sights.
