The Beretta A300 Outlander in 12 Gauge with a 28-inch barrel is a highly popular, rugged, and reliable gas-operated semi-automatic shotgun. Positioned as Beretta's entry-level workhorse, it combines the legacy mechanical DNA of their famous A391 series with a simplified, modern layout to offer premium Italian performance at an accessible price point. The A300 utilizes a unique, self-cleaning gas piston system. It bleeds off expanding gases from fired shells to drive the bolt assembly rearward. Excess high-pressure gases from heavy magnum shells are automatically vented out the front of the forend cap, protecting the gun from wear. When paired with a 28-inch barrel, it is perfectly balanced as an all-around utility gun for waterfowl, upland fields, and recreational clay target shooting. 12 Gauge
