JM Stamped Marlin 336 – Pre-Safety Classic – .30-30 Win – Very Good Condition
For sale is a Pre-Safety JM Stamped Marlin 336 lever-action rifle, chambered in the legendary .30-30 Winchester cartridge. This rifle is in very good used condition and features the highly desirable JM stamp – signifying original John Marlin production at the historic New Haven, Connecticut plant before Remington took over manufacturing. Serial Number: 19114629.
This is a pre-safety model – no crossbolt safety – as John Marlin intended. The rifle features a 20-inch barrel with a height-adjustable buckhorn rear sight and a hooded front bead sight. A hammer extension is installed (pointing left) for easier hammer manipulation. The receiver is drilled and tapped (missing top screws – marks from when something was mounted previously). The rifle retains its classic Marlin styling with standard handling marks throughout.
