About Us: I am a private seller and collector in Punta Gorda, Florida. I only ship through my local FFL dealer to the buyers local FFL dealer, unless the buyer is an FFL dealer, then I will ship long guns directly to the buyer (Due to Federal Laws - Handguns will still be shipped through my FFL dealer regardless of who the buyer is). I DO NOT SHIP OUTSIDE OF THE CONTINENTAL UNITED STAES. Alaska & Hawaii will be an additional minimum$100 charge on top of the original shipping cost, but could be more based on actual location of buyer. Insurance is extra and is at the choice of the buyer. NOTE: If buyer chooses not to purchase insurance, then the loss is at the buyers expenses, not the seller.

For Sale is a, COLLECTION WORTHY, 1973 Smith & Wesson model 36 NO-DASH, High Polish Nickel Finish, with a 2 inch pinned barrel, SERIALIZED factory checkered walnut grips w/ Silver S&W medallions AND a set of SERIALIZED factory S&W Rosewood presentation grips with Silver Medallions, fixed notch sights and a five round cylinder capacity of .38 Special.
The Model 36 "Chief's Special" revolver was custom-built by S&W to meet the needs of plainclothes detectives and off-duty police officers who wanted a concealable, lightweight, yet powerful firearm . Because it was literally named by and for police chiefs—and quickly became a staple sidearm for law enforcement leadership—the moniker stuck.
This revolver appears to remain in pristine condition with 99% or better original finish intact,, possibly unfired or only test fired at the factory. As evidenced by the lack of any powder burns on the cylinder ends, crane, yoke or any internal areas of the frame. (there is only one small area with some slight diff tone on the right side of the nickel finish).
This shining beauty comes in the factory numbered box with all papers and oil paper intact. It also comes with a set of factory S&W Rosewood presentation grips with Silver Medallions (valued at $200+- if you can even find a set?)
