This Colt Detective Special, chambered in .38 Special, is a revolver with a 2-inch barrel, weighing 1.5 pounds. It has a capacity of 6 and, according to Colt's serial number search of SN: 781325, was manufactured in 1961. The underside of the grip is marked with a "U.S." stamp; however, no documentation has been found to verify the legitimacy or origin of that marking. No extras are included in this sale. The revolver remains in very good cosmetic condition. As a classic Colt snub-nose revolver with early 1960s production, the Detective Special carries strong collector appeal while still offering the compact handling that made the model so well known.
