Description:
A5 collectors: Known as an American Browning A5, this is a 1951 American-made Browning A5 12 Gauge. Made in the final year under assembly contract by Remington from 1946 to 1951, when FN was prohibited from producing them by the German Government during WWII. It has an early Remington-type butt stock. The gun is in good shape for its age. The furniture is in fine condition. It look to have a small hairline crack in thr forend and the bluing shows thinning. There is a small lock screw missing in the tang. Only 25,000 were produced at the Remington facility. There are very few of these to be found anywhere. Notice the engraving on the receiver and the serial number on the side of the receiver only during this five year period.
