Offered for sale is an exceptional Colt Python chambered in .357 Magnum, manufactured circa 1969. Widely regarded as one of the finest production double-action revolvers ever built, the Python represents the pinnacle of Colt craftsmanship during the classic Royal Blue era.
This highly desirable example features the sought after 4 inch barrel with Colt's distinctive ventilated rib, fully adjustable rear sight, front ramp sight, and original checkered walnut target stocks with Colt medallions. The hand fitted action delivers the remarkably smooth double action pull and crisp single action break that made the Python legendary.
Condition is best described as new. The revolver retains an outstanding original finish with sharp edges, crisp factory markings, and an excellent bore. Most notably, the cylinder shows no visible turn line, an uncommon characteristic that places this revolver among the finest surviving collector grade examples.
