Built on Colt's lightweight aluminum alloy D frame, the Cobra quickly earned a reputation as one of the finest lightweight double action revolvers ever produced. Combining Colt's renowned action with a compact 2 inch barrel and reduced weight, the Cobra became a favorite among law enforcement officers, sportsmen, and those seeking a premium concealed carry revolver.
This outstanding example features the desirable 2- nch barrel, original checkered walnut grips with Colt medallions, rear notch sight, and front ramp sight. The revolver exhibits the superb craftsmanship that made Colt revolvers of this era legendary, including an exceptionally smooth double action pull and a crisp, clean single action trigger.
Condition is best described as as new. The revolver retains an exceptional original finish with virtually no evidence of use. The factory markings remain sharp and well defined, the bore is bright, and the mechanics are exactly as they should be.
